Description An elegant, grand looking, ambrosia maple burl urn with hard maple and spalted maple lid, topped with a black walnut handle and maple tip. This piece of ambrosia maple burl has been hand selected, not only for its exceptionally exquisite wood grain and markings, but, because of its artistic appearance, dignified wood markings and color. Matched with a walnut handle tipped with maple, this urn has a very monumental and distinguished look to its appearance. The container part of the urn measures approximately 6 x½ inches in height by 6 ½ inches outside diameter at the top by 5 ½ inches inside diameter by 5 ½ inches deep. It has been meticulously hand turned with a precise fitting top lip for a perfect fit to the maple lid. The maple lid measures approximately 7 ¼ inches outside diameter. From the bottom of the lid to the tip of the handle measures approximately 9 ¼ inches. The underside lip of the maple lid has an accurately hand turned lip that fits perfectly on the lip of the container. When assembled, the complete urn measures approximately 15 inches in height to the top of the handle. Both, lid and container of this urn, have been carefully and articulately hand turned and crafted into this magnificent, one-of-a-kind urn. It has been finished and hand sanded between coats with 3 layered applications of hard tung oil.
