Description The container part of the urn itself is made from a hand selected piece of live edge maple burl. The burl also has some birds eye figuring on one side. The bottom, container of the urn, is approximately 7 ¾ inches in diameter at its widest dimension. It is approximately 5 ¼ inches tall, from the base to the top of the lip. The inside depth is approximately 3 ¾ inches deep. The lid of the urn is comprised of layered sections of hand selected pieces of black walnut and maple, with a black walnut handle at the top of the lid. The lid measures approximately 5 inches from the base to the top of the handle. The inside of the lid has a precisely hand turned lip that fits perfectly over the lip on the top of the urn base. Fully assembled, from the base to the top of the walnut handle, measures approximately 10 inches in height. Each piece of this urn has been carefully and articulately hand turned and crafted into this magnificent, one-of-a-kind urn. Finished and hand sanded between coats with 3 layered applications of hard tung oil.
